It’s a historic week in the WMR 100, as Alessandra becomes the first artist to hold on to the top spot for a second week, with no challenger being able to dethrone her song Queen of Kings. But the competition is certainly champing at the bit for next week, as Alessandra’s soon-to-be Eurovision rivals Joker Out climb up from #4 to claim the silver medal with Carpe Diem, while Megara stay put at #3 with Arcadia. Rounding out the top five are Victoria with Were You Ever? and FLO with Losing You, both recording new personal bests at #4 and #5 respectively.

After being narrowly beaten to #1 by Carly Rae Jepsen last week, Alessandra is the one who snatches the throne this week. The Italo-Norwegian singer builds on the momentum from her 16-spot climb seven days ago and gets the last push ahead to become the new WMR 100 #1 with her song Queen of Kings. Dethroned champion Lost Frequencies rounds out the podium, falling to #3 with Back to You.

After a careful selection process, we have made our picks for the first-ever weekly WMR 100 list out our favorite tracks in the world. We have spent days going over songs from across the globe, and we can now announce Québec-born and soon-to-be French Eurovision representative La Zarra as our very first top pick. And it is the song that she will be performing in Liverpool, Évidemment (“Obviously”), that has been crowned as the first ever number 1 song in the WMR 100, seeing off rough competition from Australia’s Vera Blue and Italy’s Måneskin, themselves former Eurovision champions in their own right.
